بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
The word ”Sadaqah”, in the Arabic language translates to ”charity” or ”benvolence” and according to Quran and Sunnah the word means ”voluntary offering”. The term stems from the Arabic root word ‘sidq’ which can mean sincerity as giving sadaqah is a sign of great sincere faith.
What is sadaqah?
We commonly know sadaqah to be giving money and perhaps also food wherever possible; but sadaqah can also be an act as small as pouring a glass of water for your Muslim brother or sister, removing something harmful from the road is also a sadaqa.
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Every joint of a person must perform a charity each day that the sun rises: to judge justly between two people is a charity. To help a man with his mount, lifting him onto it or hoisting up his belongings onto it, is a charity. And the good word is a charity. And every step that you take towards the prayer is a charity, and removing a harmful object from the road is a charity.” [Al-Bukhari] [Muslim]

Donating to a cause and charity such as this one would result in an immense reward for you in sha Allah. Do not be shy to enjoin in good, perhps you have not been given an immense amount of wealth or perhaps you do not know where your next paycheck might come from…
All rizq and provision is from Allah! Verily Allah the exalted is Ar-Razzaq the owner of provisions and all such things come from him. So as you give in charity know that your provision lies with Allah.
Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth and the servant who forgives Allah adds to his respect, and the one who shows humility Allah elevates him in the estimation (of the people).

No matter how small the amount or deed it doesnt go unnoticed by Allah.
It is important that we remeber the virtues of such an act and the rewards and ease that it is promied to bring us in both this life and by the will of the Almighty the next life.
